Session Goal

Consolidate the accounting spine and related documentation into a minimal, defensible operating package without reopening the system design. The session focused on closing cash and debt series, stabilizing the ledger/pipeline architecture, and preserving a canonical metrics model.

Key Activities

  • Defined a minimal close plan for a short session: produce three outputs only — cash time series, debt time series, and a human-readable snapshot of open debt.
  • Reused existing sources and explicitly avoided building a new system or redesigning the metrics layer.
  • Reframed the accounting work as a stable spine: canonical metrics, ledger normalization, debt resolver outputs, and human-facing summaries.
  • Documented the orchestration layer of the accounting pipeline, including timer/systemd, launcher, ingest, Makefile, and a stable fingerprint to skip reruns when the ledger has not changed.
  • Proposed a single framework for transfer-ledger accounting with subregimes for operational advances, bilateral debt, repayments, and interest.
  • Established a minimal doctrine for long-ledger normalization: separate economic fact, accounting classification, and governance; standardize payer/receiver, status, and row types; add a few downstream-friendly columns for QA and automated resolution.
  • Closed the thread on family/patrimonial conflict and household documentation by summarizing the strategic arc, the numerical household closure, and the conversion of operational documents into PDFs.

Achievements

  • Clarified that the canonical metrics layer should not be redesigned; only a minimal v1.1 extension is needed for debt and cash trajectory.
  • Stabilized the conceptual accounting architecture around a single framework with explicit subregimes and derived tables for net position, composition, and temporal trajectory.
  • Documented pipeline orchestration improvements, including a stable fingerprint to prevent unnecessary reruns.
  • Produced a coherent closure narrative connecting accounting model, ledger semantics, automation, and human-readable reporting.
