Session Goal: The session aimed to develop a comprehensive framework for collaboration between the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and various security institutions, including the Ministry of Security and the Subsecretaría de Formación y Desarrollo Profesional de la Policía de la Provincia.

Key Activities:

  1. Reviewed and outlined a detailed process for filing complaints with the Academic Council, ensuring transparency and democratic processes within the university governance.
  2. Proposed a collaboration framework between UBA and the police for public safety, focusing on training programs, applied research, academic exchanges, and technological development.
  3. Detailed the regulations for UBA’s collaboration with the police, covering technical cooperation, production of goods, and research subsidy management.
  4. Suggested project reordering based on UBA’s cooperation categories to streamline project presentation and implementation.
  5. Developed a structured plan for collaboration between the Ministry of Security and UBA, including initial meetings, proposal development, agreement signing, project implementation, evaluation, and expansion.
  6. Designed internship programs between the Ministry of Security and UBA, from needs identification to evaluation and dissemination of results.
  7. Outlined an agenda for the first commission meeting of the year, integrating Peronist perspectives on security, education, and social justice.
  8. Proposed a subcommittee for data policy development in Data Science, aligning with the Educational Program Management Committee (CODEP) to enhance educational quality and curriculum management.
  9. Analyzed the alignment of the data policy project with CODEP’s functions, highlighting its impact on educational quality and the need for Academic Council approval.
  10. Evaluated a project for creating an online repository for educational resources, emphasizing its alignment with CODEP’s functions and its contributions to educational policy and resource management.

Achievements:

  • Established a clear framework for collaboration between UBA and security institutions.
  • Developed detailed plans and proposals for various collaborative projects and educational initiatives.
  • Created a structured agenda for future meetings and discussions.

  • Finalize and approve the proposed collaboration agreements and project plans.
  • Implement and monitor the internship programs and collaborative projects.
  • Seek approval for the data policy project from the Academic Council.
