The goal of this session was to strategize and initiate the development of an automated news portal and a Python-based News Keyword Extractor tool.
Key Activities
- Online Personalities Strategy: Developed a strategy for establishing multiple online personas to communicate economic topics through data analysis and software applications.
- Automated News Portal: Planned and organized the structure of an automated news portal with sections on Politics, Economy, and a creative section called ‘Imaginario Colectivo’.
- Python Script Development: Created a Python script for extracting news from RSS feeds using keywords, packaged it into a GitHub repository, and integrated it into a standardized project.
- Crontab Configuration: Set up crontab for hourly execution of the news extraction script.
- Documentation: Prepared a comprehensive README for the News Keyword Extractor project.
