Description

Session Goal

Triage two parallel workstreams: (1) evaluate and draft a response to a recruiter follow-up in an AI hiring thread, and (2) consolidate the state of the music/playback automation pipeline after debugging.

Key Activities

  • Reviewed a recruiter outreach that appeared to come from a stealth startup / unverified company setup.
  • Compared response strategies and drafted a measured reply that signals interest without overcommitting.
  • Identified the stronger email option as the one that communicates fit and technical alignment while preserving leverage.
  • Assessed the outreach for legitimacy risk and defined a validation checklist: company identity, role context, compensation, equity, and hiring structure.
  • Reflected on the playback automation stack: systemd orchestration and script-level flow are functioning, but runtime reliability remains fragile.
  • Diagnosed the main failure mode as random URL selection inside playback profiles, where some links fail to start or mpv exits immediately without being detected.
  • Consolidated the session closure around the long ledger / QA state and the need for a concise human memo for the next step.

Achievements

  • Produced a practical recruiter reply strategy that balances momentum with caution.
  • Clarified that stealth-company outreach is not necessarily a scam, but it requires early diligence before investing time.
  • Confirmed that the orchestration layer for playback is end-to-end functional.
  • Narrowed the automation issue to URL quality / profile hygiene rather than the overall system architecture.

Pending Tasks

  • Send or adapt the recruiter reply after confirming the desired tone and level of interest.
  • Request missing validation details from the recruiter before proceeding further.
  • Audit playback profile URL pools and keep only verified links.
  • Add or refine a script to test which links actually start correctly.
  • Produce the minimal outputs and human memo planned for the next review cycle.
