Session Goal

The primary aim of this session was to enhance and debug various functions related to AI-driven email processing and classification.

Key Activities

  • Enhancements to AI Functions: Modified the AI_process_and_filter_gatekept_messages function to include a force_reclassification parameter for handling messages with empty categories.
  • Function Implementation: Updated the process_message function with a force_reprocess parameter to improve database integrity and error handling.
  • Error Fixes: Addressed an undefined variable error in the AI processing function and resolved circular import issues in Python modules.
  • API Integration: Fixed deprecated OpenAI API usage and debugged issues with the OPENAI_API_KEY retrieval and configuration.
  • System Analysis: Conducted a performance analysis of the email classification and triage systems, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
