📅 2025-04-28 — Session: Resolved Documentation and Import Issues in Terra Project
🕒 01:15–01:50
🏷️ Labels: Python, Pdoc, Cerebrum, Documentation, Import Issues
📂 Project: Dev
⭐ Priority: MEDIUM
Session Goal
The primary goal of this session was to address and resolve various documentation and import issues in the Terra project, specifically related to the cerebrum
module and its integration with pdoc
for documentation generation.
Key Activities
- Adapted
mock_cerebrum.py
for pdoc v14+: Modified the script to comply with the new pdoc structure, eliminating deprecated usage. - Created Mock Configuration: Developed a mock configuration object to facilitate error-free documentation generation.
- Resolved Import Errors: Fixed import errors by extending mock modules and ensuring all dependencies were correctly simulated.
- Installed Cerebrum as a Dependency: Integrated the
cerebrum
library into the Terra project without cluttering the repository. - Generated Clean Documentation: Successfully generated clean autodocs using pdoc after resolving core module conflicts and import issues.
- Implemented Lazy Loading: Recommended lazy loading to prevent side effects during imports, enhancing documentation stability.
- Configured Python Module Path: Set up PYTHONPATH to recognize the Cerebrum folder, ensuring successful imports.
Achievements
- Resolved all documented import and documentation generation issues.
- Established a stable configuration for ongoing documentation processes in the Terra project.
Pending Tasks
- Monitor the documentation process for any new issues that may arise with future updates.
- Consider further optimization of the mock configurations for enhanced efficiency.
