Description

Session Goal

The session aimed to analyze and improve Entity-Relationship (ER) models by completing cardinalities, identifying strong and weak entities, mapping to relational models, and normalizing tables.

Key Activities

  • ER Diagram Analysis: Reviewed the Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD), identifying strong and weak entities, and completed cardinalities.
  • Relational Mapping: Mapped the ERD to a relational model, focusing on normalization and the transition to Third Normal Form (3NF).
  • SQL Operations: Developed SQL queries for creating tables related to order details, user spending, and product analysis.
  • AI Model Evaluation: Analyzed ROC curves, AUC, and threshold strategies for classification models, and evaluated regression trees for bias and variance.

Achievements

  • Completed the analysis of ER diagrams, confirming all entities as strong and suggesting improvements for the ‘CUENTA’ table.
  • Successfully mapped ER diagrams to relational models and normalized tables to 3NF.
  • Developed SQL scripts for comprehensive data analysis in e-commerce and product metrics.
  • Evaluated machine learning models, providing insights into parameter impacts and model evaluation strategies.

Pending Tasks

  • Further refine SQL queries for more complex data analysis scenarios.
  • Continue exploration of threshold strategies in classification models to optimize performance.
