Session Goal

The primary goal of this session was to develop and refine a command-line interface (CLI) for managing email processing tasks, including triage, routing, and daemon management, using Python.

Key Activities

  • Resolved YAML syntax errors and gaierrors in configuration files for email fetching.
  • Reviewed and assessed the email fetching pipeline, ensuring successful IMAP connections and email parsing.
  • Outlined and implemented CLI commands for email processing, including triage and routing, using Python and Typer library.
  • Designed and implemented daemon management functionalities within the CLI, including starting, stopping, and logging.
  • Refactored the triage_emails() function to integrate with EmailOrchestrator and TriageStateManager for improved modularity and testability.
  • Provided a comprehensive CLI command cheatsheet for email management tasks.
  • Initiated migration to a YAML-based configuration for email processing components.
