Session Goal

The primary objective of this session was to diagnose and resolve various dependency and environment issues related to the PromptFlow SDK and associated Azure modules.

• Local Test Plan for Run Locally Documentation: Reviewed a checklist for validating local development environments, focusing on setup steps and common failure modes.
• Diagnosing and Fixing PromptFlow Dependency Issues: Identified missing Azure SDK modules as the root cause of critical issues with PromptFlow dependencies and outlined a fix strategy.
• Resolving Versioning and Installation Issues: Addressed versioning issues with the azure-monitor-opentelemetry-exporter package by exploring beta installation options and meta-packages.
• Understanding and Resolving Telemetry Errors: Investigated telemetry logging errors in PromptFlow, focusing on import failures and deprecated Azure modules.
• Analyzing Import Dependency Chain: Explored the import dependency chain in PromptFlow to identify bad design and proposed multiple solutions.
