Description

Session Goal: The session aimed to enhance data management processes by updating Python scripts for appending enriched video records to a CSV file and backfilling video data from YouTube channels.

Key Activities:

  • Developed a Python script to append enriched video records to a CSV, ensuring nested fields are handled correctly and headers are conditionally written.
  • Updated the script to backfill video data from YouTube channels, reading channel IDs from a CSV and appending results with a new channel_id column.
  • Conducted research to gather YouTube channel names and IDs, compiling the information into a CSV format.
  • Planned and executed queries to obtain the YouTube channel ID for ‘tanitonft’ and related searches, indicating a focus on integration and data retrieval tasks.
  • Automated navigation to specific YouTube channels using keyboard shortcuts and URL entry.
