Description

Session Goal

The primary goal of this session was to integrate the functionalities from reports.py into materialize.py and views.py to streamline processes and minimize redundancy, particularly focusing on the pipeline boundary.

Key Activities

  • Merged functionalities from reports.py into materialize.py and views.py.
  • Implemented file existence and size checks using Python’s pathlib library.
  • Conducted function pattern searches and code analysis using regular expressions to identify specific function definitions.
  • Extracted header docstrings and function definitions from various Python files using ast and regular expressions.
  • Replaced existing Python functions with updated implementations for loading reports and building pivot views for data analysis.
  • Checked for specific imports and deprecated the reports module in favor of the export_views function.
  • Resolved architectural mismatches for renta and fondos outputs to align with the new Views contract.

Achievements

  • Successfully integrated report functionalities into materialize.py and views.py, reducing redundancy.
  • Enhanced code analysis and extraction capabilities using regular expressions and ast.
  • Updated data processing functions to improve compatibility with new architectural standards.

Pending Tasks

  • Further testing of the integrated functionalities to ensure stability and performance.
  • Complete the transition of all legacy reports to the new Views structure.
