Description

Session Goal

Assess why a sheet-backed relational operations dataset was not reliably retrievable through the current agent/browser path, and determine a more robust publication contract for downstream agent access.

Key Activities

  • Inspected the live relational operations payload rather than relying on preview rows.
  • Verified that the live snapshot JSON exposes dataset path, schema, row/column metadata, and a linked CSV artifact.
  • Tested the linked CSV retrieval path and observed that the browser/tooling layer fails even though the link exists on the page.
  • Distinguished between a page/link publication issue and an environment-specific fetch limitation.
  • Compared publication patterns and evaluated a JSON-first approach with HTML landing pages and CSV as secondary export.
  • Framed the problem as an agent-operability and publication-contract issue rather than a pure data-source failure.

Achievements

  • Confirmed that the source is reachable at the routing/metadata level.
  • Clarified that the latest.[[json]] artifact is successfully loadable and contains useful structural metadata.
  • Identified a concrete seam where the CSV is linked but not fetchable through the current tool path.
  • Established a stronger publishing recommendation: full JSON for machine consumption, HTML for navigation/preview, and CSV as auxiliary raw export.
  • Recommended atomic builds and explicit link ordering to improve reliability for both humans and agents.

Pending Tasks

  • Expose a fetchable full dataset artifact, ideally latest.[[json]], as the primary agent interface.
  • Verify whether access control, link formatting, or browser-fetch limitations are causing the CSV retrieval failure.
  • If needed, relax access controls or adjust publication plumbing so the rows CSV becomes retrievable.
  • Validate the proposed JSON-first publication contract on the live dataset pipeline.
