Session Goal

Refine the operating model for the Office Auto Lab / MAL organism by consolidating health-response rules, cadence mapping, and documentation boundaries into a usable manual-style summary.

Key Activities

  • Reframed the automation stack as a living system with sensing, routing, and repair layers, emphasizing runtime homeostasis over broad redesign.
  • Defined a selective repair strategy: only touch active or support-needed pathways, normalize interfaces where necessary, and avoid global cleanup or expansion.
  • Formalized a 4-hour operating cycle built around WATCH → GET → MAINT / FOCUS → POST, with staff preparing, monitoring, and reingesting work around bounded human blocks.
  • Mapped a weekly cadence that assigns days to compile, build, repair, externalize, reingest, and recover, while keeping the model compact enough for the manual.
  • Established a timeboxed recovery rule for overlong AI-assisted design sessions, treating drift as a calibration event and requiring breaks, re-entry blocks, and healthier boundaries.
  • Proposed a POST/reingestion memo format to capture what changed, what is usable, what remains unsettled, and the next valid operating state.
  • Suggested a curated Mermaid diagram set to document organism anatomy, runtime flow, weekly rhythm, and health triage without overbuilding abstractions.
