Description
Session Goal
Diagnose the lineage of the FCEN identity-resolution system and determine whether the current Python package is the authoritative production pipeline or only a migration scaffold.
Key Activities
- Reviewed multiple reflection notes comparing
src/fcen_intel/identityagainst the richer April 2026 notebook-based workflow. - Traced architectural signals across notebooks, generated artifacts, and package structure to infer the true operational chain.
- Compared artifact freshness and grain consistency, especially around
person_vote_info.[[csv]],person_index.[[csv]], andperson_siu_links.[[csv]]. - Formulated a reverse-engineering / reentry plan focused on notebook lineage, high-value extraction commands, and documentation-first stabilization before refactoring.
Achievements
- Established that the current Python package is a partial hardening scaffold rather than the source of truth.
- Identified the April 2026 notebook pipeline as the authoritative production chain.
- Clarified that
person_vote_info.[[csv]]appears stale relative to notebook-generated outputs. - Isolated a narrow duplicate-key / person_id grain issue affecting
person_index.[[csv]]andperson_siu_links.[[csv]]. - Proposed deterministic rebuild and audit checks for freshness, uniqueness, and referential integrity.
Pending Tasks
- Trace notebook lineage to locate the exact blocks that generate the authoritative artifacts.
- Verify freshness and integrity of all exported CSVs.
- Rebuild
person_vote_info.[[csv]]deterministically from the notebook pipeline. - Add audit scripts or checks to prevent duplicate writes, stale exports, and absolute-path brittleness.
- Capture a concise runbook for reentry into the pipeline and future refactors.
