Description
Session Goal
Explore and define a minimal, private, read-only interface over existing Office artifacts so the app acts as a window into the system rather than becoming a new operational source of truth.
Key Activities
- Reviewed a doctrine-to-operations conversion rule for the knowledge system, emphasizing that only concepts that can become fields, operators, checks, queues, or recurring questions should be retained.
- Evaluated a constrained product direction: the frontend should remain read-only, local/private, and filesystem-backed, with no new ontology at launch.
- Drafted the concept of an “Office Window” in Next.js for navigating artifacts, queues, briefs, evidence, and runs.
- Produced an audit-first prompt package for local read-only UI design, including prompts for full audit, minimal implementation, and critical architecture review.
- Repeatedly reinforced safety and architecture constraints: no database, auth, deployment complexity, or editing flows in the MVP.
Achievements
- Clarified the product stance: visibility over operation, inspection over mutation.
- Established the core technical constraints for the MVP: local filesystem access, path safety, read-only browsing, and no second source of truth.
- Consolidated implementation guidance into reusable prompts for audit and build phases.
Pending Tasks
- Translate the design into an implementation plan for the Next.js read-only interface.
- Define the filesystem path model and safety checks in more detail.
- Decide the initial artifact types and navigation structure for the MVP.
- Validate whether any minimal indexing or caching is needed without violating the read-only constraint.
